Cuantísimo time without writing anything in here! Already noticed with the latest blog entries (each day more spaced in time) I was losing a bit like writing. An end of course too long a time of testing did the rest. I was bored and wanted out, go to the field and do things. Get into the computer to write was the last thing I wanted. Now that I've recharged the batteries I'll see if I can go, catching up or at least have to be doing it now.
The late spring and summer have not been free of activity. I've done enough things related to birds.
First, banding. I spent some time to bird ringing, marking them in different places. Since the troughs of the saws Gúdar and Javalambre in which wore the ring for years to new ones that we have to prove as one in Ayora.
prenuptial Step (jo, talking about it at this point, the postnuptial already started) I ended up among orange and some day in the Albufera . Within the project VOLCAM we have organized this year, we did several days of night banding raptors.
I also tried ringing the first time as an educational activity for children of Friends of Youth Center in Valencia, in Peñascosa (Albacete). A conference the most entertaining.
Nor was any banding, has been time for bird watching. As always with a common and this blog: Julio Meraz, Guille Mayor Toni Mulet and Jana Marco. One day I made a visit to Alicante to see two species was eager to see and had not yet passed through my retinas: the ratchet (Coracias garrulus , Roller) and alzacola ( Cercotrichas galactotes , Rufous bush robin). July took me to see the latter. After we met Jana and Guille to go to Hondo and enjoy several copies of the first. With friends like it's worth birding.
Another day were Jana and Toni who came to Valencia to see the -billed Phalarope (Phalaropus lobatus , Red-necked Phalarope) which was cited in Tancat Milia, L 'Albufera . Everything went without a hitch and we enjoyed it and many other species of birds associated with wetlands.
Related both, friends and the ringing, Toni, Jana and I went to work in banding campaign Prions ( Hydrobates pelagicus, Storm Petrel) on the island of Benidorm . That same day, Jana and I went to Cartagena to participate in volunteer Prions banding (by the ears we ran out) on the island of Pigeon. There, in addition to enjoy ourselves very well with the other volunteers and the people of Anse in charge of the campaign, enjoyed a lot with the ringing of twelve Cory's shearwaters ( Calonectris diomedea , Scopoli's shearwater) and eighty European storm-petrels.
I think I have nothing remarkable to summarize. I hope not to spend so much time left until the next entry.
