Well today I bring a brief entry to give me your opinion, is that I have tired a little of the appearance of the blog and wanted to change a little, but looking templates I've found no big deal ... I liked the blog or out of position I had things I did not want and could not remove, the other colors do not compel me to what I have already ... in short, a disaster ....
What do you think about this, I like it more than the previous or better let the old?

Letter Of Recommendation, Sorority
And going, and going ... Birding by gaps
From different fronts have been getting text messages me: "Update your blog", "Put something new that takes the redshank the half-life there," has something of Congress "...
Today I finally decided to take notice and update. In fact, as I tried to tell something about the conference, but I went out and did not quite know what to write. Please try to see how it goes.
As you may already know the bridge last December (from 4 to 8) was the XX National Congress of Ornithology in Tremp (Lleida) . After talking a bit and get organized, and there I went with my usual birding companions (Jana Marco, Guille Mayor and Julio Meraz).
The spasms while we were there the dividing among some short trips to see birds and attending some of the exhibits, panels, assembly of rings ... I will focus on birding, if not this can be lengthened too.
The first day (December 4) upon arriving in Tremp, we went with other people with whom we shared house with a gun to see if we could locate a treparriscos ( Tichodroma muraria , Wallcreper) . We spent a while searching a good and cold, where some have feared for our toes, we localized the first. I say first because then appeared a second. Observation had a luxury of the two copies separately, together and chasing each other, the walls, across the canyon from one side to another ... going, which made for a while we forget the negative degrees in the thermometer. The rest of this day is dedicated to a couple of talks and rest of the trip.
The next day was devoted to Congress and take a walk along the river near the village. The scenery was very cool and pleasant walk, despite cold and, at first, did not see many birds were moving downriver As they began to appear among the first species: Crane (Grus grus , Crane), Siskin (Carduelis spinus , Siskin) and other species typical of these areas as finches (Fringilla coelebs , Chaffinch) and Bunting (Emberiza cia , Rock bunting).
not take long to receive the first hawfinch ( Coccothraustes coccothraustes , Hawfinch) who became the star of the drive species to join the largest concentration of those we had seen any of these (July, Guille, Jana, Manolo, Jose and I). A flock of over a hundred copies were moved through the area.
Once we began to wonder if he was doing back when the time decided to give us a clear signal above echándonos a good snowfall. So quick return to Congress.
The third day we went for a garbage dump in the morning (of which are within the proposed reintroduction black vulture ( Aegypius monachus, Black-vulture) in the Pyrenees). The misfortune was that the fog and dreary time as not to encourage the vultures too close to the area, so we could not see more than a group of vultures (Gyps fulvus , Griffon vulture) and some ravens (Corvus corax , Raven).
Much more interesting was the back, where we found some large flocks of finches feeding in some fields. We stopped to see if any localizábamos Brambling (Fringilla montifringilla , Brambling) but no luck. Yes we could find, however, write some matches ( Emberiza citrinella, Yellowhammer) and a bunting serrano (Serinus citrinella , Citril finch).
Retry (no luck) the real finch in the fields around the village where we were staying. We did not see despite that there were large concentrations of birds, so we decided to return to the canyon treparriscos the first day to see if we returned to find and surprised us a vulture (Gypaetus barbatus , Lammergeier) that had been there.
neither one nor the other is deigned to appear. Yes I did a couple of Alpine Accentor (Prunella collaris , Alpine Accentor) and dipper (Cinclus Cinclus , Dipper).
the last day, much to my regret, between the Assembly of banders and other things I could not even sniff the field, I and July. While Jana and Boumort Guille went where, this time it enjoyed a carcass with the presence of black vultures, vultures and osprey. Besides seeing many other things along the way as some large flocks of Fieldfare (Turdus pilaris , Fieldfare). A pity I missed and not being able to tell more in detail. We will have to go to Jana chronicle to meet 100% of the story.
The day back we considered many things: go to Girona and see the red-footed booby (Sula sula , Red-footed booby), stop at the Ebro Delta birding or go through Lleida find the jug necked (Aythya collaris , Ring-necked duck) that was in an irrigation pond. After thinking we opted for the latter seemed the most sensible.
We came out pretty well and by noon we were on the raft in question. The place was full of birds, a very many sides of lapwings (Vanellus vanellus , Lapwing) and jackdaws (Corvus monedula , Jackdaw) and a lot of ducks in the water, duck colorado (Netta Ruffina , Red-crested Pochard), northern pintail (Anas acuta , Pintail) Pochard (Aythya ferina , Common Pochard) ... The most notable one ferruginous duck (Aythya ferruginea, Ferruginous duck) and gorged. After seeing the shot (unsuccessful) of a hawk (Accipiter nisus, Sparrowhawk) a collared dove (Streptopelia decaocto , Collared dove) started the way back to Valencia and Alicante.
